Greetings to all our Dons Family. Beginning Monday, February 27, 2023, West Las Vegas High School and Family Partnership will be a closed campus. The primary purpose of open campus thus far was to allow our upper-classmen an opportunity to learn more about how they manage their time outside of school and remember to be more responsible with their time to make sure they don't miss a class—at the same time, giving students the freedom to leave school and take a little break from their busy school days. Unfortunately, at this time, tardies and absenteeism have become an issue with students at all grade levels. Depending on what our data determine at the end of March and through our Positive Behavior Interventions, we may consider opening again in April. I appreciate your understanding. We believe our Dons are Talented, Smart, and Capable of Success.
We want to take this opportunity to wish our Wrestlers the best of luck at state this weekend. Go, Dons, Go!
We have a few athletic announcements for you this evening. Our Dons and Lady Dons basketball games that were supposed to take place today have been moved to tomorrow. Lady Dons will play at home. C team will play at 3:30, followed by JV and Varsity. Let's Go Dons! Hope to see you all there.

In honor of National School Counselors week we would like to recognize our School Counselors for all their help in supporting school culture and promoting social/emotional development. West Las Vegas High School is celebrating National Counseling Week. Tomorrow, Tuesday is Follow Your Dreams Day. School Counselors work as a team with teachers to build students future in a safe and cozy environment. Students may wear (dress code appropriate) pajamas to school.
