Attention West Las Vegas High School Families. This afternoon we placed our school on a lockdown for a short period. We had an angry individual at the front office, and we wanted to ensure all our populous on campus were safe. The lockdown was lifted in approximately 8 minutes. With that said, students and staff responded quickly and efficiently.
Attention staff, students and families, please see the attached flyer for information on a DONS TAILGATE before the game tomorrow. The football game starts at 7:00 PM. WLVS student will be admitted for free. Tickets for adults is $7.00 per ticket.

Greetings Dons Family: Our Afterschool programs for credit recovery and tutoring will begin on Monday, August 22, 2023. Please see your school counselor for credit recovery options.
We would like to thank our amazing cafeteria staff. Students are really enjoying the new salad bar options. Today's meal was a hit.

West Las Vegas Athletics will hold its annual New Mexico Athletics Association parent and student-athlete meeting. The meeting will be held tomorrow, 8/2, at 6:00 PM at the high school gym. This is a mandatory meeting for all student-athletes and their parents.

The jumpstart will help to ensure that all registration and enrollment forms are complete, parking permits are issued, student fees are collected, commitment to graduate signatures are secured, scheduling questions are answered, athletics and club information are provided, and other schoolwide information is dispersed. Greetings to all our Amazing Dons! Some of you may have noticed that schedules are coming through on Power School. Schedules need to be completed and are being worked on. You might see some changes. Please be patient; we will have it completed by your Jump Start Day on August 1st when you can pick up schedules, take care of parking passes, and request schedule changes. A reminder to those students attending summer school for credit recovery:
attendance is mandatory. If you miss 3 days during a session you will not be permitted to continue. Please report to your class on time. Summer sessions run from June 5 to June 22 and from July 10 to July 27
You can view your report card on Power School. If you would like a printed copy please stop by the school site for one. You have opportunity for credit recovery if needed beginning on Monday. You will need to register if interested.
